I believe that Education companies are taking advantage of a serious phobia in the minds of Indian parents – there’s so much competition that any efforts will be taken to advance their children’s education. Tuition was the first step – students complained that their teachers in school were not properly instructing and so the coaching industry came to being. The coaching industry has boomed and some students have benefited as well. Now, you have e-learning companies like Byju’s that are taking creating an online learning portal or mobile app with videos and mock tests. Both industries tuition and e-learning promise one main thing – better academic performance through personalized learning for your child. But this really isn’t the case.
